The Spiritan Conference of Circumscriptions of Africa and the Islands (SCCAI) is pleased to announce that its biennial Meeting of Major Superiors and Delegates of Formators will take place at Roussel House, Donum Dei Community, Karen, Nairobi, Kenya, from 26 November to 3 December 2026.
The Spiritan Province of Kenya has graciously accepted to host the Meeting and is already at work on the arrangements to welcome confreres coming from every corner of the Conference. SCCAI expresses its sincere gratitude to the Province of Kenya for its fraternal hospitality, and to the Donum Dei Missionaries, whose house will offer the participants a setting of prayer, calm and genuine welcome.
A theme of hope and renewal
“Behold, I am doing a new thing” (Is 43:19): Fostering Interculturality and Solidarity in the Service of Mission in Africa and the Islands
Drawn from the prophet Isaiah, the theme invites the Major Superiors and formators of SCCAI to read the signs of the times with the eyes of faith: to recognise what the Spirit is already bringing to birth among us, and to respond with communities that are ever more intercultural, fraternal and united in mission. Participants are invited to reflect on the theme in advance and to come prepared to share the experiences of their circumscriptions, particularly the progress made in implementing the resolutions of the Antananarivo Assembly of August 2024.

Key dates
- Arrival of participants: by Thursday, 26 November 2026
- Opening of the Meeting: Friday, 27 November 2026
- Departure of participants: Thursday, 3 December 2026

A house of welcome
Roussel House is run by the Donum Dei Missionaries, an international Catholic community of consecrated women founded in 1950 by Fr Marcel Roussel-Galle, whose charism of hospitality is lived out in welcoming retreats, meetings and guests. Set in the green and peaceful surroundings of Karen, the house offers conference halls, comfortable accommodation, dining rooms, a chapel, gardens and lounges – an environment well suited to prayer, fraternal exchange and careful discernment.

Let us pray together
As we prepare for this important moment in the life of our Conference, SCCAI entrusts the Meeting to the Holy Spirit and to the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We invite all Spiritans, our lay associates and friends to accompany the Major Superiors and formators with their prayer, that these days in Nairobi may bear fruit for the mission of the Congregation in Africa and the Islands.
Fr Louison Emerick BISSILA MBILA, CSSp
Executive Secretary, SCCAI
