Who we are and what this policy covers
The Spiritan Conference of Circumscriptions of Africa and the Islands (SCCAI) collects as little personal information as possible, never sells it, and shows no advertising.
This policy applies to the SCCAI website, csspafricanews.org, and to the SCCAI mobile app for Android and iPhone. The app displays the same content as the website, so the same rules apply to both.
SCCAI is the data controller. Questions about this policy can be sent to the SCCAI Executive Secretariat at executivesecretarysccai@gmail.com.

Information we collect
You can read everything on the website and in the app without an account and without giving us any personal information.
We only receive personal information in these cases:

The mobile app itself does not collect any additional data. It does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos, and it has no user accounts, payments or advertising.
How we use your information
We use your information only for the purpose you gave it for:
- to answer your message or request
- to send you SCCAI News, if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email)
- to keep the website and app secure and working, and to understand in general terms how many people read our content
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf, or when the law requires us to.

Embedded videos and share buttons may set their own cookies when you play a video or press a button.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed for it to work, such as remembering your chosen language. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep information
- Messages sent through the contact form: up to 2 years, then deleted
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
- Server logs: kept by our host for a limited period, normally no more than 90 days
Security
The website and app use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to messages and subscriber lists is limited to the SCCAI Secretariat.
Children
Our content is suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights and deleting your data
You may ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it. Write to executivesecretarysccai@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will reply within 30 days. The app has no user account, so there is no account to delete; uninstalling the app removes it from your device.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date.
