One Heart and One Spirit
This Latin motto has guided Spiritans since our founder, Claude Poullart des Places, gathered the first community in Paris in 1703. Renewed under Venerable Francis Libermann in 1848 and present in Africa since 1779, that same one heart and one spirit unites SCCAI circumscriptions today in pastoral care, formation, and solidarity across the continent and its islands.

SCCAI brings major superiors together to know one another, share experience, and reflect together on the challenges facing our mission, so circumscriptions can speak with one common Spiritan voice.

We facilitate the exchange of students and staff between circumscriptions and coordinate the Centres for Ongoing Formation, so confreres keep growing throughout their Spiritan vocation.

One Spiritan Family
Promoting the Spiritan charism, we deepen mutual understanding and solidarity among confreres, so every circumscription feels part of one Spiritan family across Africa and the Islands.
